Hi @Theeprince,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you've forgotten the password for your HP laptop and are seeing a password hint, you can try the following options to regain access:

Reset Your Password Using Security Questions

Password Hint:

  • Sometimes, the password hint can help jog your memory. Try different passwords associated with the hint given.

Security Questions:

  • If your account is a local account and you have previously set up security questions, Windows will prompt you to answer them after you have entered the password incorrectly a few times.
  • Answer the security questions correctly to reset your password.

Reset Your Microsoft Account Password

  1. Online Reset:
    • If you're using a Microsoft account to log into Windows, you can reset your password online.
    • Go to Microsoft's account recovery page from any internet-connected device.
    • Follow the instructions to reset your password.

Use a Password Reset Disk

  1. Password Reset Disk:
    • If you have created a password reset disk with a USB drive before forgetting the password, you can use this to reset your password.
    • Insert the disk into the computer and follow the instructions to reset your password.

Accessing Your Account With an Administrator Account

  1. Another Administrator:
    • If there is another account on your system with administrator privileges, log in using that account.
    • From there, you can reset your password by navigating to "Control Panel" > "User Accounts" > "Manage another account."

Final Options

  • Perform a System Reset:
    • If all else fails, you might need to perform a system reset. Note that this will erase all data on your device. Ensure you've backed up any important data before proceeding.
    • You can perform a reset by accessing the recovery options via F11 on startup and following the instructions for "Reset this PC".

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a blissful day 😇.
