Hey there, 

I have an issue with my HP pavilion dv6 1105ee  it won't boot from usb and always proceed to existing os, I need to erase the current os and install a new one, please help.

Your laptop is originally Windows 7 and will not have Secure Boot in BIOS.Have you tried the flash drive in another USB port? It may be the USB you are booting from is UEFI only and you have legacy BIOS. I would suggest using the laptop to make a new Windows 10 bootable usb which should set it up to boot on legacy BIOS.

Microsoft provides the free Media Creation Tool to download files and create a Windows 10 usb flash drive.Advantage is you will have latest updated version of Windows 10. At least 8gb flash drive required:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Select Download tool now, and select Run.
If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.
On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next. (select create installation media for another PC even though you are using the laptop).

 

You could also use Meida Creation Tool to download and save the ISO. Then use Rufus to create a bootable USB for Legacy BIOS or the Windows 7 CD/USB Tool. All of those options are detailed here:

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Are you facing this issue after the update?

How long are you facing this issue?

Make sure the USB port is working fine.

 

Have you tried to disable secure boot and enable legacy mode? if not follow the below link.

I already updated to windows 10 but the old version files already there ,what I need is to format all HDD and start Windows set up all over again.

The USB port is working.

I can't find the legacy mood nor secure boot ? ( my BIOS v4.6 )

Are you using an HP Recovery media or retailed version?

 

Us the USN and make sure the USB is working fine.

 

Try a different USB and check if the USB port is working fine.
