HP Pavilion x360 - 15-cr0305ng

After a successful PC health check, I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 via Windows Update. The update itself worked fine in principle. However, the laptop is now almost unusably slow. Just starting up the system takes several minutes, and then Windows 11 is extremely sluggish to use; opening a window sometimes takes 30 seconds or longer. The laptop has 8 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, which should be enough for now. What could be the cause of this, and what can I do about it?

Hi @BrilleBerlin

In windows search type CMD, in the result click run as administrator and type (One at a time and then enter)

sfc /scannow

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

then restart windows and check.

Unfortunately, that didn't help at all.
I reset the computer to factory settings and then installed all the Windows 10 updates (this took at least three days).

After that the laptop ran as usual again. But when I then upgraded to Windows 11, everything was terribly slow again. What could be the reason for this? I have never experienced this effect on any of my other computers, some of which are much older and still run Windows 11 perfectl.

Check in Device Manager to see if all controllers are recognized.

In Device Manager everything is fine, no yellow exclamation marks.
