Can anyone help please?

My laptop recently crashed, and I had to run the recovery disk. However, after running the recovery, it is not working correctly, and in the device manager it reports a code 10 error on on the network adaptor Realtek RTL8101, and theres a bunch of drivers that are missing. Problem being I cant get onto the internet to download them. Any ideas please?

I should say that I am not in the slightest techniaclly minded, so if anyone could help, please do so in language I could understand.

Thanks in anticipation.

@Mart23

Are you really STILL running Vista? If so, that is a serious issue and will make it very difficult or impossible to restore your PC at this late date.

HP used to carry recovery media for your PC, but they stopped carrying Vista media years ago, as did the third-party recovery media providers.

So, there is basically no place you can get recovery media now.

Also, no one sells Vista anymore and MS no longer makes it available.

In addition, HP only provides online support for PCs for 5 years or so, and most likely, they no longer have an online source where you can download drivers anymore.

Sorry, but it's really time to retire that PC.

No I was running Windows 10 on it but the recovery disk took it back to Vista. My hope is to get it back up and running so that I can go back to windows 10.

As it is though, I can't do anything
