HP i7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

Background
I recently bought an HP i7 laptop with 1TB SSD and 32GB RAM. There was a problem with the SSD and HP had me send it back to the retailer for a replacement. I did so and the retailer told me that there were no more of that model nationwide in their stores. I suggested to them that they upgrade me and then magically they found one. I was very suspicious and asked for confirmation that it was indeed a new laptop and not a refurb or the original with new parts. I also asked for an assurance that it wasn't a demo model as I has seen one on their website but with a 512SSD and 8GB RAM. I received that assurance. I also asked for the serial number so I could check it against the original serial number, they provided this and it was indeed different. They said that they wanted to run tests on it overnight to be sure that it was working correctly.
So to the problems:
1. When I received the laptop the sticker on the box showed that it was an 8GB RAM 512SSD. I checked the  system info and found that it had 32GB RAM GREAT but only a 512SSD.

2. Now this is the part that I am really struggling with......the desktop background has a slideshow operating, wait for it.....they are photo's of my family and our dogs?!?!?! How is this possible??? I factory reset the original laptop before sending it back.

Any help from you good people as to how this could be possible will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Col
