You're using terms that are confusing.

You don't save files to MEMORY; instead, you save them to DISK SPACE.

You said your laptop has plenty of both kinds of MEMORY -- there is only one kind, and that is the stick form and that is not used to save files.

Please provide the exact wording of the error message if you want detailed help.

I figured it out. A driver needed updating from HP. Thanks.
