Pop ups

I keep getting a pop up for using the camera for films!  I don't want it!  If I dismiss it it takes me to the HP home page!  Grrrr!!!!  Fed up!

HP laptops often include HP QuickDrop, HP Camera, or HP Welcome/HP Support Assistant features that display promotional or setup messages. After updates, these can re-enable notifications about using your camera for video or film.

Steps to Disable the Pop-Up

1. Check HP Support Assistant

• Open HP Support Assistant from the Start menu.
• Go to Settings → Notifications.
• Turn off Tips & Messages or any camera-related notifications.
   

2. Disable HP Welcome / HP QuickDrop

• Press Windows + R, type appwiz.cpl, and hit Enter.
• Look for HP Welcome, HP QuickDrop, or similar HP apps.
• If you don’t use them, select and Uninstall.
   

3. Turn Off Startup Prompts

• Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
• Go to the Startup tab.
• Disable any HP-related apps that mention camera or welcome screens.
   

4. Windows Notifications

• Go to Settings → System → Notifications.
• Scroll to HP apps and toggle off.
