@Srqtanweer, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The image shows a SMART Hard Disk Error on an HP computer during POST (Power-On Self-Test). Here's what it means and what you should do:
🔍 What the Error Means:
- SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) has detected that the hard disk is likely to fail soon.
- This usually points to physical issues like bad sectors, read/write errors, or declining health of the drive.
⚠️ Immediate Actions to Take:
1. Back Up Your Data ASAP
- If the system still boots, copy all important files to an external drive or cloud storage immediately.
2. Run a Hard Disk Test
- Restart the PC and press F2 to run System Diagnostics.
- Select the Hard Drive Test to get more details about the error.
3. Prepare for Replacement
- If the test confirms issues, the hard drive will likely need to be replaced.
- Consider replacing the hard drive with a new SSD or HDD.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
