Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP laptop screen is brightening and dim after 1 minute and it is happening each time when AC plugged-in. I checked and found that battery icon is showing power mode "plugged-in" for 1 minute and then changed to "charging". It is very strange situation.

I also checked that my laptop is shutdown and AC power plugged in and power lED is showing orange for 1 minute and then turns to white color. Than again turn to orange color.

 

I searched in HP community section for this problem and do the following solution but did not get success.

 

1. I removed the battery, press the power button for 30 seconds 

2. I removed the battery driver from device manager 

 

Please note that earlier I have upgraded the bios from HP support assistant.

 

Can you tell me what is exact problem and what is exact solution for it.

Hi
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat; Re-Connect the AC adapter.

NOW begin checking/testing/proving the Hardware is fit for purpose.
Power on your PC, press ESC (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).
