Product: HP Elite x2 1012 G2
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

What can i do when i have no Power On authentication password.

Is there a way to hard reset my HP Elite X2 G2 Device and resolve the issue ?

And how can i execute a hard reset on this model? Becaus the instruction the HP Site is unclear for me.

Hi:

 

If you enter any power on password 3 times, see if the PC generates a system disabled code.

 

If it does, post the entire code.

No code displayed.

 

Just a few lines with :

 

Authentication Failed            Hp (Logo)

 

System Locked

Press the power button to restart the system

Hi:

 

You will have to contact HP technical support and see if they can be of assistance.

 

They may be able to send you a SMC.bin file you can use to unlock the BIOS P/W.
