Hi @Orizon-1946,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing issues with power settings and screen deactivation on your HP Notebook running Windows 11, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem:
Update Drivers: Ensure that all your drivers, especially those related to power management and display, are up to date. You can usually find the latest drivers on the HP support website for your specific model.
Check Power Settings: Double-check your power settings to ensure they are configured correctly. You can access power settings by searching for "Power & sleep settings" in the Windows search bar.
Reset Power Plans: Try resetting your power plans to default settings. In the Power & sleep settings, you can choose the "Additional power settings" option and then select "Change plan settings" for your current power plan. From there, you can choose "Restore default settings for this plan".
Update BIOS: Sometimes, updating the BIOS can resolve compatibility issues and improve system stability. Ensure that you have the latest BIOS version installed for your HP Notebook. Be cautious when updating BIOS and follow the instructions provided by HP.
Run Power Troubleshooter: Windows has built-in troubleshooters that can help identify and fix power-related issues. You can access them by going to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Power.
Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows 11 operating system is up to date. Sometimes, Microsoft releases updates that address specific issues and bugs.
Scan for Malware: Run a full system scan with your preferred antivirus software to ensure that malware or viruses are not causing the problem.
Perform System Restore: If the issue started after installing Windows 11, you might consider performing a system restore to revert your system to a previous state before the problem occurred.
