Hi All,
My company has been using HP Probook 430 Series for quite sometimes now. HP has now released the G6 with Core i5 8th Gen. I am starting to testing this laptop, and discovered right away with the fresh install of Windows 10 Pro 1809, that COM+ Application is not working. It is throwing a Catalog Error - Error Code 80040154 - Class not registered. This happens to the other same laptops with a fresh install.
The laptop has not been joined to the domain yet. I have been Google around about this issue, and follow what the other has experienced for fix, but no joy for me.
Troubleshooting I have done so far:
1. Disabled Microsoft Firewall.
2. No Antivirus software running.
3. Disable and stop all HP Services.
4. Disable and stop Realtek Service.
5. Fixed the DCOM Config in Component Services.
6. Created another new local admin account.
7. Reset to Factory Default.
8. SFC /SCANNOW - now issues found.
None of the above were successfully fixing the issue I am experiencing. Below is the screen shot of Error Message.
Please let me know if you have any other idea to fix this issue. Thank you.

Please try to edit Registry and set [ COM+ Enabled = 1 ] in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Microsoft\COM3. Now the COM+ System Application service runs, and the COM+ catalog is displayed properly.
Hope this helps
Regards.
