Hey guys,
Description of the story (jump down for the actual problem):
I have an HP Pavilion 15 notebook which came with a pre-installed Windows 10 copy. A couple weeks ago, the Windows starting getting very laggy and buggy, I couldn't open the settings menus, it take so long to open programs, and sometimes the boot time is just insane. So, I created back up of my data and attempted to do a system recovery.
The actual problem:
When trying to access the Windows Recovery by pressing F11 at boot, it gives me this error: Your PC needs to be repaired.
Error Code: 0xc0000185
I tried to use the HP Recovery manager but had no luck. I couldn't even get an image copy using it, since any flash drive inserted into the laptop gets infected by some weird virus on the laptop.
So, basically what I was thinking is: I want to install a clean copy of Windows 10 from a Win 10 installation disc I have, then attempt to access the recovery partition again (Recovery partition wasn't harmed in any way through this process). Would that actually be a good solution? And how am I gonna access the recovery partition if HP Recovery Manager isn't installed on the laptop?
I know this is kind of a mess, but I've been trying to fix it since 3 days with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
Kind regards

Hi:
Your notebook appears to be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use that utility...I do not know if it will restore the recovery partition as well.

If you clean install W10, it will most likely not allow you to access the recovery partition anyway.

Hi:
What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?
Use this guide to find that information...please do not post the serial number.

You're very welcome.
If for some reason it does not work, your only option would be to go with the clean install of W10.
Unless your W10 installation media is recent, I recommend you use the Microsoft media creation tool to create a bootable USB installation flash drive to clean install W10.
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

Hey, Sorry for the late reply.
I had some issues while trying to recover the Windows, turned out that my hard drive died. I bought a replacement SSD hard drive that got shipped today, and I installed the image from the cloud service as suggested. It is working very well now!
Thank you so much for the help.
