Hi, I have a HP Envy 17.3 un laptop with a faulty SSD.
I have removed the faulty SSD and installed a new M2 SSD drive.
I downloaded windows 11 install media from Microsoft to a USB and booted the laptop off the USB and proceeded up to a step where I was prompted to "Install driver" for WIFI connection.
Where can I download the correct WIFI driver for this laptop? I presume I will have to put this driver in another USB, right?
Thanks

Do you recall the model Wi-Fi adapter your notebook came with?
The parts list indicates your notebook could have come with two different model Wi-Fi adapters--Intel or Mediatek.
Once you determine the correct Wi-Fi driver your notebook came with, download the driver for it from your notebook's support page.

Use the free 7-Zip file utility to extract the exe file into its driver folder.
Then copy the folder to a USB flash drive.
Then follow the instructions at the link below to install the driver.
Isn't there an option to skip that step?
If there is, it would be a lot easier to bypass connecting to the internet and set up Windows using a local account.
See how to do that at the link below. Then you can install the Wi-Fi driver from the exe file instead.

Hi, thanks again for helping out.
Unfortunately, there is no option to skip this. I have to select a driver from a folder before it will allow me to click "Next" (I can't actually install anything during the Windows 11 build).
I had taken a picture of the system diagnostic screen previously. The System Board CT number is:
PRPVPE21WHWI1L
Would that help in identifying the WIFI type?

Many thanks for that! I was able to install the driver and it is prompting me to select a WIFI now.
I will try to see if there is a way not to connect to the network as I want to avoid logging on to Microsoft.
Thanks again.
