When I launch fedora from my usb drive and try to start the installation process, I get a message saying no disk was detected. Clearly I have previously made a new empty partition on my hard drive but it still does not appear as an option. On the Internet I found a possible solution which was to activate AHCI from the BIOS, which I cannot do since the options in the BIOS of my laptop are limited. I clarify that this is not a USB Drive problem since I have tried booting on my desktop PC and it worked and detected my empty partition.

In case it is not clear, my initial problem was installing fedora but now what I am looking for a solution for is to access the advanced bios configuration on my HP. Maybe it can be done with some external configuration or in some other way

Hi @Fungik,

Thank you for your response,

I completely understand how frustrating this must be, and I appreciate your patience. I know how important it is to get the right support, especially when working with Linux Fedora on an HP PC. Unfortunately, HP’s official support is primarily limited to Windows, which means troubleshooting for Fedora may be a bit more challenging.

Unfortunately, there are no further actions we can take through this channel. I recommend reaching out to our phone support for further assistance.

This might require one-on-one interaction to fix the issue via remote assistance.

Have a great day!
