Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have an HP 15-bw0xx laptop with windows 10 home x64 installed on it.

I am trying to reinstall windows 10 using bootable usb drive, but it just fails to boot properly and launch installation. When I try to boot from usb it loads for a bit, i get to see windows logo but then it just turns to noise on the screen. I tried using all of my 3 usb ports, I tried UEFI and Legacy boot and the result is the same. Usb drive works bc i tried it on my lenovo laptop and it installs nicely.

Here is a short video i filmed of what happens on the screen.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Stan

Hi, @053048

That is a very common issue with that model series notebook.

Solved: Installing windows on new SSD after hardware (3F0) error - HP Support Community - 7985336

Solved: Unable to boot from a USB flash drive. - HP Support Community - 8320378

The only way to reinstall W10 on that model series that I know of is to use the HP cloud recovery tool.
