Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi! After installing and configuring Windows 8.1 (previously Windows 7) on my HP 2000-2d87sr laptop, this problem starts to appear immediately after booting the system. I completely uninstalled the video driver using amdcleanuputility, re-installed the video adapter drivers from the HP website (when Windows was installed, it also downloaded them) for my laptop and Windows 8.1, but it didn't help. I decided to just disable AMD Catalyst Control Center from autorun, and the problem disappeared. Did I do well or was it worth doing it differently? Thank you!

Will the discrete video card stop working due to the fact that I disconnected from autorun AMD Catalyst Control Center?

Hello! After installing and configuring Windows 8.1 (formerly Windows 7) on my HP 2000-2d87sr laptop, this problem starts to appear right after the system boots. I completely removed the video driver using amdcleanuputility, reinstalled the video adapter drivers from the HP website (when Windows was installed, I also downloaded them) for my laptop on Windows 8.1, but that did not help. I decided to just disconnect AMD Catalyst Control Center from startup, and the problem disappeared. Did I do well or did I have to somehow resolve the issue differently? Did a discrete graphics card stop working from this? Thank!
