HP Recommended
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Father in law did a factory reset. Once turned on its nothing but a blinking black screen. No option to log in or anything. Done everything like boot system update. Bios system update. Did all the test diagnostics everything passed. But can't figure out why it's not working.

Don't know why everyone seems to think Factory Resets are Miracle Cures for everything that ails PCs.  If there is any hardware issue at all -- which is why folks so this in the first place -- the reset is guaranteed to fail, and then you trade a nonworking PC for one with issues.

 

What is the model niumber of the laptop? How old is it? What is the issue you were trying to solve?
