HP 15-f211wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was performing a power restart through windows. On restart I was unable to load into windows 10. No recent changes to system(updates or applications). No choice to reset this pc from troubleshooting. Was going to try HP Cloud Recovery Tool, but my product ID was recognized as invalid. Why? Now what?

Hi, @Xavier012

Your notebook is too old to be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool.

You will either have to buy W10 recovery media from HP at the link below...

Order software and driver media HP Notebook - 15-f211wm (Touch) (ENERGY STAR) | HP® Customer Support

...or you can reinstall W10 for free by using the Microsoft media creation tool from the link below to create a bootable USB installation drive.

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

Tried both prod ID & ser. #, neither was accepted, assume laptop no longer supported.

Thanks,

I was going to update my BIOS (currently ver: F.25) to an HP recommended F.45 Rev. A. when while installing I noticed that the choices offered in the BIOS Management File Navigator {(021DE.bin), (02163.bin), (08175.bin)} do not match my system board ID (233F). I backed out and left unchanged. Are one of those choices correct or should I revert to an earlier BIOS Version?      I have downloaded a Windows Installer application (Ver. 10.0.1904101) but will not install until BIOS is correct. At which point I may need help with installation.  Your expertise is greatly appreciated. Thank You.
