So I made a grave mistake of updating my bios without proper research. i was updating the software vio the offical hp update software. And it automatically downloaded the bios update and on restarting the pc it took me directly to the BIOS setup. I didn't take it very seriously and went ahead with the update. Now it has been more than 8 hours and the screen is fixed on one singular message saying "Programming PEI region". There is no indication of when it will be over or how long will it take. Just this message. I'm afraid to reset the pc as I have learnt that it may freeze the motherboard. And I just can't afford to do that. Have I screwed up? I don't know who to contact for this. Please help... I'm freaking out over here 😅
