Hp Notebook 15t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I selected a bunch of files to delete in my itunes music folder in windows explorer and I'm not sure what happened but I selected a lot at a time and while it was preparing to delete it hung at ninety nine percent so I clicked cancel and then when I tried to deleted another file it showed the whole bunch was still waiting to be deleted. Then I closed windows explorer and when I opened it it was very slow to load anything. Then I restarted the computer and everything is working normally except those files that I deleted are not in the music folder anymore and never went into the recycle bin.

What happened to them and what could have caused this? Is that folder still safe to add files to? Do I need to reset my laptop to factory settings or reformat anything or can I just add more files now?

Sorry, but iTunes is an Apple product that works poorly, if at all, under MS Windows.  We have no way of debugging issues with that and can not provide any technical support for it.

For assistance, you would have to check with the Apple Support forums.
