Hi @Fun4Life69,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
The Realtek driver issue preventing you from enabling Memory Integrity in Windows 11 Pro can be frustrating. Here are some steps to help resolve this:
Step 1: Update the Realtek Driver
- Go to the HP Support website and search for drivers for your specific model: HP 15.6 Inch Laptop PC 15-Fd0000 (794H6AV).
- Download and install the latest Realtek audio driver available for your laptop.
- Restart your laptop and try enabling Memory Integrity again.
Step 2: Uninstall and Reinstall the Driver
- Open Device Manager by pressing Win + X and selecting Device Manager.
- Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
- Right-click on the Realtek audio device and select Uninstall device.
- In the prompt, check the box that says Delete the driver software for this device and click Uninstall.
- Restart your laptop.
- Reinstall the latest Realtek driver from the HP Support website or Windows Update.
Step 3: Use Windows Update
- Open Settings by pressing Win + I.
- Go to Update & Security.
- Click on Windows Update and then click Check for updates.
- Install any available updates, including optional updates, which might include updated drivers.
Step 4: Check for Incompatible Drivers
- Open Windows Security by pressing Win + I and going to Privacy & Security.
- Go to Device Security and click on Core Isolation details.
- Under Memory Integrity, click on Review incompatible drivers.
- If the Realtek driver is listed, note the version and try to find an updated version from either the HP Support site or the Realtek website.
Step 5: Disable/Enable Memory Integrity via Group Policy
- Open the Local Group Policy Editor by typing gpedit.msc in the Run dialog (Win + R).
- Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Device Guard > Turn on Virtualization Based Security.
- Enable the policy and select the options to enable Memory Integrity.
- Restart your laptop.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, you might need to wait for an updated driver from Realtek or HP that is compatible with Windows 11 Pro. In the meantime, you can disable Memory Integrity if it is causing system instability or issues with necessary drivers.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
