I have received the same message several times over the past few weeks on my HP Stream 7 tablet. When I am on the internet, the screen will go black. I either have to force it to shut down or restart by pressing the power button for a few seconds. Sometimes this works, most of the time it does not. Even though the battery reading is 70% or greater, I will plug the tablet into the wall charger and then that is when the CHOS check sum invalid ..... message appears on the screen and then the screen goes black. I replug my tablet into the wall charger and it proceeds to charge but never fully reaches 90%. I have not downloaded any programs lately and visit the same non-malicious sites using the Google Chrome search engine. Help, if this continues, I will have to start using my Amazon Fire tablet.
