Hi Paul Tikkanen.

I have dought !

How to run the driver for unsupported version of windows 10 ?

You mention like this -

When you run a driver, it should unpack to C:\SWSetup\sp#####, where ##### is the file number of the service pack."

How is it possible?

Normally when we install the drivers for windows 10 then only the drivers are unpack. Without install the drivers how to unpack ?.

Hi:

When you get the unsupported error, the driver has already been unpacked to that file location.

Another way to do it is to download and install the free 7-Zip file utility from the link below.

7-Zip (7-zip.org)

The second link at the top of the page is for 64 bit.

After you install 7-zip, right click on the sp##### exe file you downloaded and select 7-zip from the menu.

Have 7-Zip extract to and let it extract the file into its folder name (sp#####).

Then you can manually browse to the driver folder that 7-zip created from the device in the device manager.

Note that this method only works if Windows can see the driver setup information text file.

Some drivers cannot be manually installed.
