I have the same problem. I am trying to recover windows 10 from a USB drive. The recovery stops at 41% and eventually reports an error. I have disabled secure boot and enabled legacy devices. It has failed 3 times.

This is a Touchsmart all in one 22-h010ea purchased directly from HP 4 years ago on the employee purchase scheme. I had a disk failure and replaced with identical 1tb. I am now trying a clean install from USB.

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

  • When was the last time the computer was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes?
  • Are you installing a retail copy of Windows?

While you respond to that, I recommend you try doing the clean install and check whether the issue is resolved.

If you continue to face the issue, I recommend you follow the steps in the below article and check if it helps.
