Hi,
It is the firts time I write on a support forum.
Not sure if it is the right way to do by replying into the discussion to ask a question. Sorry in advance if I should have taken a different path 🙂
I tried to migrate from Windows 8,1 to Windows 10 with my HP Pavilion dv6000. After downloading everything, it ended up that I could not do the transfert at all because of errors. While I was looking for solutions on internet, I found your answer for Shteffan.
My computer is up to date with Windows 8,1. But I may have problem with different pilots... who knows?
Apparently, it would just be a problem of coprocessor device if I reffer to what you wrote.
My computer is a:
HP Pavilion dv6000
FE811UAR#ABA
Refurbished dv6985se
For the info, I know it is an old computer but since I changed the hard disk for a SSD 500Go, the system is fast and amazing considering my needs.
Hope there is something that could be done for the computer 🙂
Thanks a lot!

Hi:
For your model you need this coprocessor driver...
This package provides the driver for the NVIDIA nForce AR Chipset in the supported notebook models and operating systems.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp37501-38000/sp37730.exe
You have to manually install the driver as follows...
Run the file. It will most likely not install the device. If it doesn't...
Go to the device manager and click on the coprocessor device needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp37730.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.

You're very welcome.
I didn't get an e-mail notification that you replied, which is why it took me so long to answer.
The coprocessor driver didn't work because your notebook has an Intel processor, and doesn't need it.
That driver is only for notebooks with the nVidia chipset and AMD processors.
I should have looked up the specs.
You need this driver for the base system devices...Should install by just running the driver.
This package contains the driver for the Ricoh 5-in-1 Card Reader for the supported notebook models and operating systems.
