HP Recommended

Husband has HP Pavilion 23. Have tried downloading to thumb drive from his computer and get following error code 0x80042405-0xA001A (trouble running tool on or from this computer?) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Here is what I recommend (other than googling the error code, and find all kinds of suggestions to fix).

 

Instead of the USB creator option, download the ISO file instead and watch this video...

I first tried downloading from tool again because my husband had unchecked the box that had English settings, etc on it. We decided this may have been the reason it failed the first time. Anyway the download from tool was successful this time. I deleted all partitions as you suggested and was left with one at maximum size. Windows 10 is currently installing on the laptop. Again, thank you so very much ... you've been so helpful!
