why my hp recovery tool is showing this error : - the authentication is invalid or expired.

I was having the same problem today and contacting HP support today (7/29/24) was an absolute nightmare. Contacting them via their website wasn't working and it took over an hour to get a response via chat on Facebook. Anyway, try opening the Microsoft Store to see if there are any updates or try uninstalling and reinstalling. HP must have done some sort of update today to the recovery tool and I've gotten it to finally get past that message and work. Don't know what's going on with them today but they must be having a lot of issues.

May I have the exact product name and number? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc

Thanks for responding but whatever the issue was, HP must have already fixed it. I used the tool several days ago successfully.
