Hp Mini 5102
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi, just found my old Hp Mini 5102 laptop running on Windows 7 32-bit OS. I WOULD JUST LIKE TO ASK WHAT RECOMMENDED OS SHOULD I UPGRADE TO... because I’m planning on reformatting the laptop and upgrading it to a newer OS. Hoping someone sees this and knows the answer. Thank you!

Sorry, but this is a really OLD PC with very limited specs.  Since MS has dropped support for Win7 and has only security support for Win8, the only OS upgrade option would be Win10 -- but with the specs, I seriously doubt it would work well, if at all.

It has a low res display, a slow processors, really old graphics chipset, and very limited memory of 2GB max.

I have a similar old Fujitsu laptop and I finally gave up struggling with it with Win10 a few months ago.  It works great under Win7 but with anything newer, it struggles.

Here is a thread about using really old equipment with Win10.  Maybe something in there will be useful to you:  https://www.tenforums.com/performance-maintenance/6909-lets-run-win10-really-really-old-hardware.htm...

Good Luck
