HP EliteBook 2760p

Product Number: QA090PA#ABG

After being continually prompted to update my driver, I foolishly did so out of frustration. I have been trying for some time to recover PC but eventually run into either BIOS issue, or network detection issue.

PC had previously been upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 with larger memory capacity. Can I recover PC to previous state, and how, if possible?

Hi:

If you can't recover the PC, the only suggestion I can offer would be to reinstall W10 by making a bootable W10 USB installation flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below.

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

Boot from the installation media and when you get past the 'Install Now' screen, select the version of W10 you had upgraded to (Pro or Home).

Then you will be asked to enter a product key.

Select the 'I don't have a product key' option and W10 will install and automatically activate after you are connected to the internet.

If you need to recover personal files, when you get to the part where you are asked 'Where do you want to install Windows,' install it over the existing Windows partition and it will create a Windows.old folder.

After W10 has installed, you can explore the Windows.old folder, find your old user profile and copy and paste the folders from your old user profile to the new one.

If you need any help with finding W10 drivers afterward, please let me know.

I know you will need these two:
