Microsoft Windows 11

I have 2 internal drives - SSD & HDD on my HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0043ax. The issue is my HDD had crashed 2 days ago without warning after 1.5 years of usage and between bootups I get 2 errors at tandem, 301 & 3f1.

I had over 600 gb of data in it. I tried with EaseUs recovery, but it only manages to trace 30 gb and none of the recovered files are complete. The max filesize located being 728mb when I had some personal files and programs exceeding 3-4 gb. Strange thing is,  EaseUs Rec does not transfer the found files onto a separate drive.

Im not too tech savvy so my question, is there any way to even temporarily get the hdd working again? Or

Are there any other programs that can help retrieve the data while its still in the laptop? Or

Would it be better if I separate the hdd from my notebook into an external casing device and try to extract the files from there?

My HD had a head crash when I was nearly finished writing my undergrad thesis - using thousands of data points I had entered in manually. I actually did send it off to the pros, and they couldn't do a damned thing. Worst two weeks ever. But I learned my lesson about backing up my hard drive, all right
