I reset my old laptop for my son to use for school. The laptop finally completed it's reset and I just realized that I cannot find the recovery disks. It is now asking me to load the operating system which I cannot do. I found on Amazon a generic windows, operating system recovery disk. I have not received it yet and not even sure if it’s going to work. My hope is if I can at least get the operating system loaded and something to come up on my screen then maybe I can go to the HP website on the computer and download the drivers later. I also thought about purchasing other HP discovery that I found people selling. They are not necessarily for my model, but I was just wondering if this idea could possibly work. Are there any suggestions in this situation?
