I created a usb recovery image from the hp recovery manager but when I try and restore i'm getting the following error "Restoration Incomplete" i've tried it 3 times and the same issue arises.

I'm trying to restore onto to new SATA 2.5 SSD drive rather than the original PCI slot one.

@denrok

The so-called Recover process starts by attempting to recreate the original partitions on the new drive.  Problem is, if the new drive is smaller than the original, there is not enough room and that will fail.  You can't use the Recovery function to migrate from a large HDD to a small SDD.
