Hello Community,
Just yesterday I tried to download an old computer program onto my laptop, which failed and Caused my computer to go into a repetitive restart.
After few unsuccessful tries I decided to do a complete reset and recovery backup. BUT NOW, it keeps reading that my recovery backup is incomplete.
I try to restart but am still unsuccessful. It goes to an administrator screen. Then it kicks me out and goes back to the HP RECOVERY MANAGER WINDOW saying that RESTORATION NOT COMPLETE.
At this point I just want my computer up and running again. I don’t really care about the files anymore.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP???

Hi:
Using another Windows PC, you can use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook. Here is an info link for how to use that utility...
HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10, 7) | HP® Customer Support
This will format the hard drive and all data will be lost.
If you want to recover your files, you can make a plain W10 installation flash drive using the media creation tool from the link below.
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
Do not delete or format any partitions. When you get to the part of the installation that asks 'Where do you want to install Windows,' install it on the existing Windows partition and it will create a Windows.old folder.
After W10 has completed installing, you can explore the Windows.old folder, find your old user profile and copy and paste the files you want to save onto a portable hard drive.
Then you can use the HP cloud recovery tool media to factory reset the PC, or you can just install the drivers you need on the plain W10 installation.
