How can HP send me through link a downloadable recovery media. Thank you.

Hi:

 

The only way you can download recovery media is if your notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool.

 

You can by using another Windows PC and a 32 GB USB flash drive, create a bootable recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool, that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with the notebook.

Otherwise, you can clean install W10 by making bootable installation media using the Media creation tool at the link below.

 

You will need to have access to another Windows PC for this.

If you had previously upgraded your PC to W10, when you get to the part of the installation that asks you to enter a product key, select the 'I don't have a product key,' option and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.

Unfortunately the hard drive doesn't work anymore. I'm replacing it. Was looking if by any chance somebody in HP could send me a downloadable recovery media. I didn't want to pay $40 dollars for a usb drive to be sent over. Is there anyway to send email to seek if HP could send a link. Thank you.
