I have been having problems with my laptop for a while now. I first started out with randomly getting the error "Boot Device Not Found Please install an operating system on your hard disk. Hard Disk (3F0)" when I booted up my laptop. Did a memory test and hard drive test and both came out fine. Even did that one where I enable the "legacy support" that seems to work for a bunch of people, but it's not compatible with mine and it just goes back to the original error.
So I reached out to HP support and they sent me a usb with recovery media but when I use it i end up getting the error "recovery not supported under current configuration please enable acceleration option for Intel Smart Response Technology and try again".
So what does that mean, and what should I do next?
I was hoping to not need to bring the laptop somewhere, but I really don't want to buy another one unless I have to.
Thanks for the help!

Hi:
I think you are in one of those Catch 22 situations.
In order to enable acceleration option for Intel Smart Response Technology, you normally have to be able to get into Windows.
See if there is a BIOS setting to enable the Intel SRT in the BIOS and make sure it is enabled.
If the setting is disabled, enable it and try the recovery media again.
If it is already enabled, then try clean installing W10 so that at least you can get your notebook working again.
Make bootable W10 installation media using the media creation tool at the link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
After W10 installs, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

I ended up clean installing Windows 10 and it worked, I was able to get it running.
Unfortunately HP doesn't have drivers for this laptop through that link.
Also, I've run into a disk space issue after the install of Windows now. I noticed the local disk is in the red and only has 334mb available out of 12.8bg . I tried cleaning up everything that I could think of to free up space and the most it does is like 55mb. I noticed the majority of this space being taken up is system and reserved files which windows says it needs. I didn't think an update for and os would be that huge that it takes up a majority of the space. Is there anything that can be done about this?

What I suggest you do, is to go back and clean install W10.
This time when you get to the part that asks, 'Where do you want to install Windows,' delete every partition on the drive, leaving just one partition of unallocated space.
Click Next and W10 should install.
I don't understand what you mean by HP not having drivers for your PC.
There is a full set of drivers.
You have to install the ones relevant to your model's specific hardware configuration.
You can also install the HP support assistant, which is supposed to be able to install drivers automatically.
I've never used it for that purpose, so I don't know how good it will be at that.
You can download the HPSA at the link below, orange download button at the top right side of the page.

If you have issues finding drivers, let me know, and I will see what I can do to help.
Also read this info on how to get the Intel optane system enabled.
You may then be able to use the recovery media as intended.
