I'm trying to reinstall Windows on a HP Pavilion dv7-4053cl notebook. I have the recovery media that was made when the system was new, and the disks are still readable. But when I try to boot from Recovery Disk 1, I get the error:
"The system recovery media does not support this computer.
You are not able to restore this system with the media."
These recovery disks worked the last time they were used, several years ago.

Hi:
Unfortunately, no one here would be able to help you with that issue.
Can you still read all 25 characters of the W7 product key label on your notebook's case?
Just yes or no. Please do not post the key.
If so, I can give you the link to download the W7 64 bit Home Premium ISO file and you can make bootable W7 installation media.
