Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I decided to refresh my PC /Reset my PC as it wasn't working well. When i was resetting my pc it shows error that some files missing ,insert recovery disk to fix but when I inserted my recovery disk (never used before) it says disk is invalid. Please help me how to fix this issue. These recovery disks were created with the help of official HP support over telephonic conversation in the year 2014 , I don't know how this disk can be invalid ?

I kept it in a secure box of DVD ,used genuine DVDs, but still this is happening to me. Please help.

Please tell me how to fix these recovery disk, I don't want to create new recovery disk or USB because in the year 2014 I purchased high quality dvd's recommended by HP and was not using the laptop until I created these recovery disks ,kept it for 6 years in a secured box to ensure it doesn't get damaged but now I am regretting all my efforts.

Please help me fix these invalid disk issue.

Hi:

Unfortunately, no one here will be able to help you with that.

Recovery disks are like a light bulb.  They either work, or they don't.

You can't fix a broken light bulb.

You have the option to make your own plain W8.1 installation media.

It is your only option.

Download the plain W8.1 64 bit ISO file from the link below.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8ISO

Then you can use the Microsoft ISO to USB/DVD tool to transfer the ISO file to a DVD so that it is bootable, or you can use a different free utility like Rufus.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=56485

After W8.1 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

And what about HP's bloatware apps , cyber link application, hp support assistant etc? How can I get these ?

The Cyberlink apps are on the support page (under the multimedia software section), and you can download the HP support assistant from the link below.

Click on the orange download button at the upper right side of the webpage.
