Product: HP Pavilion dv4305US
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

Hey y'all!

I have an HP Pavilion dv4305US that originally came with Windows XP Home Edition that has the copyright year as 2004 on the original COA. I would like to do a restore on it, as it was ridden with viruses and very slow. The problem is we've moved about 5 times since the PC was purchased, and the original HP Restore CDs that came with it got lost somewhere along the way and are nowhere to be found. Can I still order OEM recovery CDs from HP or is there any way at all that I can obtain the original CDs? Thanks in advance!

HP no longer sells recovery disks for that model series, but you can still order a recovery disk set from this non-HP vendor at the link below...

It is no longer reliable to install windows xp besides as it is a system without support I think there would be no recovery disk.

That is an HP part number you see there...438964-001
