Hi Guys,

For a friend I'm looking at her laptop to reinstall it. The laptop doesn't boot anymore. I'd like to use the recovery images which should be on the laptop. But I guess the previous owner removed them.

Is there a way to get the original recovery image?

Best regards,

Floris

Probably NOT -- as HP no longer stocks recovery media you can order for Win7-era PCs.

You can look into the option below, but unless this is a recent PC model, made in 2016 or later, that won't apply ...

You can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.

The recovery drive can then be used to install Win10 and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.
