I've gone to recover my Omen laptop (in warranty) to default settings using recovery manager. It goes through all the motions correctly but after logging in as administrator it comes up with the message "windows could not complete the installation. To install windows on the computer, restart the installation." Closing this message resets the pc and it's just in a loop.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi:
As I see it, you have two options...
1. Contact HP technical support and submit a support case under the warranty.
I would go that route first, and see what HP would do about the issue.
If you don't like the support options provided to you by HP...
2. Make your own plain W10 installation media and use that to reinstall windows.
You can make your own plain W10 installation media by using the Media creation tool at the link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
The software will automatically work with the product key in your notebook's BIOS.
You don't need to know what the product key is.
Then go to your notebook's support page to install the drivers and available software you need.
