While creating a backup disc, the Recovery Manager stalled for 12+ hours at 17% verifying the disc. What happens if I click on "cancel"?

It should just proceed with System Recovery. However, your backup may/may not be good since it couldn't seem to verify- unless you backed up the whole laptop and have GB's of files to check it shouldn't take that long.

Fwiw, the backup isn't that dependable.
