probook 6550B(WD698ET)
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My hdd is crashed and I have no software at all to install my new solid state drive. I have the key-number for windows 7 pro. What can I do? If I want to download from Microsoft  and then fill in this number they do not give permission to download? Number is OK  but pre-installed by HP.

Yes Success did what you suggested, downloaded windows 7 with the key-number that was written  on the back of my computer, then I updated windows 7 to windows 10. Then I was asked to activate windows 10 and I put in the same key-number for windows 7 and everything is working fine, Thanks lil blue boy
