I have been given this model by a work mate for my 7 year old daughter to use for her school work.
We are unable to return it to factory settings as he has no idea what he done with recovery media. The hard drive is full and it won't delete anything yet all folders appear empty.
It also won't connect to WiFi, said incorrect password (defo entered correctly)
I think a fresh install would be best but I can't seem to be able to find one.
Any help will be more than welcome.

You're very welcome.
Here's what I recommend you do...
Clean install W8.1 by making bootable installation media.
Download and save the plain W8.1 64 bit ISO file from the link below.
Download Windows 8.1 Disc Image (ISO File) (microsoft.com)
Use the Microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below that you will need to transfer the ISO file to a USB flash drive so that it is bootable.
When you get to the part of the installation that asks 'Where do you want to install Windows,' delete every partition on the hard drive, leaving just one partition of unallocated space.
Click Next, and W8.1 will install.
After W8.1 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from the notebook's support page.

Hi:
What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?
Use this guide to find that information...please do not post the serial number.

Hi Paul,
Managed to use the zip to and created iso on the USB successfully.
I have tried to change the boot options order via F9 but it says no volume label.
I try reboot but it bypasses the USB and loads the old system
