I have a pavilion g7 that my idiot sister in law tried to fix her self and deleted the recovery partition and everything that i know to try and fix thsi has not worked i am currently having to use a compaq nx 7400 from 2011 to do my work and i hate it any solutions? I can get to the Boot menu but i have no boot discs and the hp recovery manager is not on the laptop any longer .

Hi:
If you can still read all 25 characters of the W7 product key on the PC's case, you can make your own plain W7 installation media.
Click on the Windows ISO Downloader.exe link to download the tool to create the W7 ISO file download.
Select the W7 COEM ISO file download version for the product key the OS is good for, which is the OEM operating system ISO file.
I have zipped up and attached the Microsoft utility below, that will allow you to either put the file on a USB flash drive or burn it to a DVD.
Then you can install the drivers and available software you need from your PC's support page.
Otherwise, you may be able to order W7 recovery media for your specific model g7 from this non-HP vendor at the link below.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know what to do about that error.
Usually, the USB flash drive or DVD installs W7 from boot, and takes less than 30 minutes to install.
Then you install the drivers and available software from the support page.
If you made a DVD, try burning the ISO file to a DVD using this free software. Select the "Burn ISO file option."
Burn it at the slowest speed you can.
