Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have recently bought a HP PAV 14-BF108CA  notebook and began transferring files from my old laptop after I had downloaded Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat on to the new HP laptop. However, all of the files I put on the laptop have a red x on the left hand side of the icon (there are a couple with a green checkmark instead of a red x). I can still open up these files, but I'm still not sure what the red x means.

Hi rshrumm,

I'm pretty sure the red x's and green checkmarks you're referring to are files syned to a drive such as OneDrive or Dropbox. Make sure that your account is linked correctly and that your files are syned.
