Hello,

I lost back up of OS installation which is related to shipping factory OS 8.1 installed in laptop when i brought it. I have upgraded it to windows 10 long back. Should i buy OS back up shipping factory version?

Hi,

You can create Windows 10 Installation media directly from Microsoft. You do not need a product key. Once installed and connected to the internet it will automatically activate. You can download the media creation tool on any PC and create a USB drive with the OS on it.

Actually, it's shipping factory is 8.1 something. Does windows 10 compatible for my laptop if something crashes happen in the future?
