Just bought a new laptop from Ebuyer. 11/01/2019

Set it up OK and then went through some of the software as you do.

Had a look at 'Jump Start' as I'd not seen that before.

Checked the warranty on the machine and it comes up with 9 months remaining ???? Why ????

I was under the impression you got 12 months warranty on a new device.

@mikej101

The warranty date is set at the factory when the PC is built.  It can then sit on a shelf or in a warehouse for months before it finally gets sold and delivered.

What you need to do is contact HP Customer Support about registering your laptop in order to reset the warranty start date.  That is something we can not do for you.

You also might be able to do that yourself using this link:  http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/wc/public/home

Good Luck
