I want to reinstall Windows 11. The installer does not see the SSD drive and offers to download the driver. There are no settings in the UEFI menu to disable the VDM controller :(Thanks!

Hi, Tk_srq!
Thank you so much for your reply, I will try to use this advice today. Tell me, please, I would like to split my disk into two partitions. But this is an SSD drive, wouldn't it be better to leave one partition for the entire drive? I will be grateful for the answer!

when Windows is installed on a storage drive, it creates four partitions by default. Partition 3 is the Windows partition which is also called C: drive.
Some people like to divide the C: drive into two or three partitions (drives) to store personal data and/or applications. It's totally personal preference, and you can do it to your SSD drive, if you wish.
If your drive already has Windows installed, the Windows installer will display four partitions. You need to delete all of them before clicking OK to proceed the installation.
