How do I reset my HP Envy x360 to factory default and by pass existing Windows log in PIN or use a different Windows account?
I got the message “Your PIN is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device” after I changed my MOBO. While I have access to my hotmail/windows account I no longer have access to my recovery email required to change my PIN. It will take 30 days (that I don’t have) to follow through with Microsoft process to have my security details updated. Thus, the need for me to wipe off my Windows log in details or use another Windows account.
I tried using the ‘Reset this PC’ option from BIOS without success. And I tried re-installing Windows from a USB but I keep getting an error message saying an upgrade is not possible.
What to do?

You can't use the built-in reset function because it needs the PIN - which you don't have.
If your PC is a 2016 model or newer, you should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.
The recovery drive can then be used to install Windows and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.
You will need a working PC and a 32GB USB stick to hold the recovery files. Here is the link:

You use the Microsoft Store to download the actual tool:

If you use a different PC to run the tool, you will have to provide your PC's product number. Here is an HP link for finding that information:

Here's a video from HP Support about using the Cloud Recovery Tool:

Thanks for your response. The HP Cloud Recovery Tool does not support my laptop. I inputted my Product ID (4N6R2UA) for my HP Envy 15m-eu0043dx. Is there any other HP recovery tool that supports my platform?

Please disregard my last submission. Some characters where missing in the ProductID thus, the reason why the Recovery Tool did not recognize it. I have gotten it right and I am about starting the recovery process. Thanks
